Pathology Reporting

The Pathology page provides a central view of all lab activity across your organisation, including orders, incoming results, and analytics.

How to Get There

Navigate to Reporting > Pathology.

Tabs

Lab Requests

Shows all lab orders placed by your organisation. See the Managing Lab Orders article for details on filtering, statuses, and the order detail sidebar.

Lab Results

Shows incoming lab results before they are filed. This is useful for monitoring what has arrived and what is still outstanding.

The table includes:

  • Received - date and time the result arrived
  • Lab ID - identifier from the lab system
  • Accession - lab accession number
  • Patient - matched patient name, or "Unmatched" if not yet linked
  • Date of Birth
  • Status - Received, Unread, Read, or Filed
  • Source - which lab provider sent the result (e.g. TDL, Salient)

Click a result row to open the detail panel where you can view the full result, mark it as read, or file it to a patient.

Analytics

The Analytics tab provides insights into your lab activity:

  • Turnaround times - how long results take to come back
  • Volume trends - test ordering volumes over time
  • Provider breakdown - distribution of orders across lab providers

Tip: Use the Lab Results tab to keep track of results that have arrived but not yet been filed. Unread results should be reviewed promptly.
