Two practice alerts, driven by care episodes, surface automatically:
If a patient pays for an appointment but the booking does not complete, the practice sees a "Failed booking" alert. This is the signal that a patient has paid without getting an appointment, so you can follow up and either rebook them or arrange a refund.
When a patient completes a questionnaire and one of their answers trips a red-flag rule, the linked care episode is escalated to urgent automatically. This helps make sure a concerning response is picked up and actioned promptly rather than waiting in the ordinary queue.
Both signals are long-standing safety nets. For a period they had quietly stopped surfacing; a recent fix restored them. If you have started seeing "Failed booking" alerts or automatic red-flag urgency again, this is expected and working as intended — no configuration change is needed at your end.
