Supplements

The Supplements module adds a dedicated tab to patient records for tracking vitamins, supplements, and herbal remedies - separate from prescription medications.

How to Enable

  1. Navigate to Apps > Supplements
  2. Toggle Enable Supplements to on
  3. A Supplements tab appears on all patient records

Creating Templates

Templates let clinicians quickly add common supplements. Open the Templates tab to manage them.

To add a template:

  1. Click Add Template
  2. Fill in the fields:
    • Name (required) - e.g. "Vitamin D3 1000IU"
    • Category - select from: Vitamin, Mineral, Herbal, Amino Acid, Probiotic, Omega/Fish Oil, Protein, or Other
    • Default Dose - e.g. "1000 IU"
    • Default Frequency - e.g. "Once daily"
    • Patient Information - text to include in patient communications
    • Purchase Link (admin only) - stored on the template only, never copied to patient records
  3. Click Save

Managing Templates

The template table shows all active templates with their name, category badge, default dose, default frequency, and any linked URLs.

From the actions menu on each template, you can:

  • Edit - update any field
  • Remove - soft-delete the template (can be restored later)
  • Restore - re-activate a removed template

Use the Show inactive toggle to view removed templates.
