Test Profiles

The Profiles tab shows all available test profiles with:

  • Profile Name
  • Type (e.g. Blood, Microbiome) - shown as a badge
  • Included Tests - the individual tests within each profile

You can filter profiles by type and search by name.

Editing or Disconnecting

To update credentials, open the Settings tab and enter a new API key (leave the field empty to keep the existing key). To disconnect, click Disconnect and confirm.

Tip: Use the Staging environment to familiarise yourself with the ordering flow before switching to Production.

Multi-Test Orders

A single Salient requisition can include multiple tests. When you build an order, pick a base profile or add individual tests à la carte from the catalogue. Patient barcodes apply to the whole order.

NHS numbers are not accepted in the barcode field — use the patient's practice ID or the Salient-issued barcode.

Custom Blood Profile (profile 50)

Salient's Custom Blood Profile lets you pick the individual tests you want included in a single panel. Select the profile when building the order and tick the tests to include.

Real-time Result Filing

Results file into the patient record as soon as Salient publishes them, via webhook. The polling interval is now a fallback rather than the primary delivery path; you'll typically see new results within seconds of Salient finalising them.
