Sending Documents to Another Healthcare Professional

Use the Send to HCP feature to securely share clinical documents with other healthcare professionals — such as referral letters, reports, or test results.

Steps

  1. Open the patient's record

  2. In the patient sidebar, click Send to HCP (envelope icon)

  3. The HCP message composer opens

  4. Recipients — enter one or more email addresses for the healthcare professionals

  5. Subject — pre-filled as "Shared care information for [Patient Name]" (editable)

  6. Message — optionally add context or a covering note

  7. Click +Document to attach one or more documents (at least one is required)

  8. Review the summary and click Send

What the Recipient Sees

The healthcare professional receives an email with a secure link. They must verify their email address before they can view the documents — this ensures only the intended recipient can access patient data.

Tips

  • You can send to multiple HCPs at once — each receives their own secure link
