Data migration (clinical systems)
Data migration is the process of moving a practice's records from one clinical system to another, including consultation history, medications, allergies, documents, appointments and invoices.
The distinction worth checking is between structured migration and document export. Receiving a folder of exported PDFs is not the same as receiving coded, structured data that a new system can immediately search, report on and use for prescribing checks.
